TO GET WEBSITE CALENDAR EVENTS POSTED

  1. If there is no flyer, list the basics

    1. Name of the event

    2. Description of the event

    3. Date, time, venue, and address of the event 

  1. If there is Alateen participation

    1. Alateen Participation means that Alateen members are involved in putting on the event.  Examples of this would be speaking to the audience, serving food, set-up, clean-up, or Alateen fund-raising activity.  Simply attending the event is not “participation”.

    2. If there is to be Alateen participation, then the event planners must insure that Alateen safety requirements are met. Contact Julie E, Area Alateen Process Person, aapp@ncwsa.org if you have any questions about current safety requirements.

  1. Event flyers are not required but if you do send one,

    1. PDF format is preferred.  (.jpg or .png are acceptable if necessary)

    2. Protect the anonymity of any Al-Anon or AA member. If providing an individual’s contact information, make sure that the person understands that their information will be available to anyone in the world, and get their permission.

    3. Avoid the appearance of affiliation. We try not to use web links or contact information to non-Al-Anon businesses or organizations.

  1. Where to email your event:

    1. IF NO ALATEEN PARTICIPATION:

      1. Do NOT put the word “Alateen” on your flier or in your announcement.

      2. Send your information to:  events@ncwsa.org.  

    2. IF WITH ALATEEN PARTICIPATION:

      1. see (2.) above

      2. Send your information to:  aapp@ncwsa.org.  Allow time for the Alateen safety approval. Once approved, our AAPP will forward your event information to website committee.
